THANK YOU to everyone who donated to help me bring Leandre to the US for surgery!!

I'm happy to report that after some long flights, alot of crying, a little sleeping, and more spitting up and diaper changes than I care to remember, Leandre and I arrived safely in the US.

At the moment, Leandre is being cared for by a great family in Ohio. He weighs about 7.5 pounds and needs to be at least 10 pounds to have surgery. So, for now he's being carefully fed to gain the weight and he'll likely have surgery before the end of the year. Once that happens, there will be some recovery time and then he'll be able to return home to Cote D'Ivoire, which I suspect will be sometime in February or March.

He's a beautiful little boy and thanks to those of you who helped to make this trip happen, he's going to survive and have a healthy and happy life.

If you want to know more, please scroll down to see some pictures and read a detailed account of my trip with Leandre.

Thank you again for your support!
